Julie

Julie Ferreira, Owner/Master Stylist & Colorist/Hair Loss Consultant

Julie finds her inspiration in formulating and customizing coloring with Aveda full spectrum hair color products. She loves dimensional coloring, whether it is bold or simply natural; starting with each guest's natural hair color. She has always enjoyed making people feel better about themselves, and she loves the the conversations she has with each of her guests.

Julie is also passionate about her own continuing education, as well as that of her staff. She is totally committed to her salon’s ongoing devotion to “giving back”... both to the community and to the environment.

Special training, classroom courses, and hands-on experience have helped Julie create solutions for women who are experiencing hair loss due to alopecia areota, naturally thinning hair, or who are undergoing chemotherapy or radiation treatments. Julie has perfected techniques for creating fullness and extra body, and for adding length to existing hair, with an eye for duplicating a natural looking head of hair. Julie is also highly sensitive to—and accommodating to—her guest's needs for privacy.

Cecilia Fernandez, Special Event Stylist/Creative Colorist/Extension & Retexturizing Specialist

Cecilia's talent and ability is far beyond the standard. She is truly gifted at trend color techniques, foiling, and advanced precision haircutting. She has over a decade of experience, and has spent 9 of those years at the Emerald Iguana. She is professional and incredibly gifted at her craft.

Her work, as a stylist is pristine and perfect every time. She is known for flawless up-do’s, amazing placement of highlights, beautiful cuts, and expert use of a razor. She is certified by Great Lengths and Pure Extensions and uses 100% European Hair. These upscale hair extensions (which have not been colored or chemically treated) range in color from dark brown to blonde and also include a selection of radical colors. Cecilia’s guests are also delighted to have her shape or clean up their eyebrows with grace and precision.

She is committed to education by participating in Aveda’s PurePros classes. Her bridal hair and make-up applications, are an enjoyable experience, as her impeccable styling techniques will calm any brides nerves. Her hope is that every one of her guests feels and looks their best, as she delivers absolute style with the greatest of ease.

Natasha Dawdy, Salon Manager/Stylist/Creative Colorist/Retexturizing Specialist

Natasha’s gift of making each guest feel special and pampered will leave you feeling rejuvenated and refreshed. She treats her guests with the utmost care, whether she is creating a new look with color or giving a soothing manicure or pedicure at our relaxing spa.

Her amazing attention to detail is perfect for the well informed guest. She is an expert when it comes to the ingredients and Ayurvedic properties used in Aveda products. She has completed over 20 Aveda classes including creative cutting, dimensional color and is certified in the Keratin Smoothing System.

Using natural and nontoxic products is a priority for Natasha, and she educates her guests on what options are available to attain premium beauty and pampering without any harsh or un-natural practices. She is a San Jose City College graduate and is committed to the health and beauty of each and everyone of her guests.

Sarah Rorvik, Esthetician/Aveda Freelance Makeup Artist/Aveda Advisor

Sarah graduated from the Aveda Institute, in San Francisco. She appreciates beauty both in what is seen with the eyes, and what lies beneath. As a former student of the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, (majoring in fine arts), Her passion for esthetics overflows, into her expertise in makeup application and skincare.

She is devoted to bringing out the very best qualities in all that surround her. A luxurious, plant and flower based facial with Sarah, will not only give you a much needed feeling of relaxation, but you will also be taking care of your skin. When the skin is not properly cared for, signs of aging and dehydration can lead to feeling imbalanced. Sarah can harmonize neglected skin by offering many specialized services, including the Elemental Nature Facial. This treatment provides a tranquil atmosphere, where she can use her talent specifically to fit your skin's needs.

Sarah is immensely giving by nature and she provides a nurturing ambience in all she does. She loves to educate her guests on how to take care of themselves at home, by providing them with personalized regimens for their skin. Jaclyn Struck, Esthetician

Jaclyn has been a part of the Aveda family for over 6 years. During that time she has worked extensively on improving and caring for the quality of her guest’s skin. For Jaclyn it has been exciting learning from Aveda educators all she can about how skin functions and how to protect it. She enjoys using this knowledge along with her years of experience to both service and educate each guest about caring for their own skin.

One of Jaclyn’s top priorities is to gain her guests trust and confidence as she feels this is an essential ingredient to achieving the best results. A consultation at each visit allows her to learn about what results one is looking for. Beyond just receiving an exceptional treatment with each visit, Jaclyn insures you leave feeling calm and centered as you go about the rest of your day. A perfectionist, Jaclyn is committed to providing the best facials you will ever receive. In addition to facials Jaclyn’s precise technique and thoroughness in waxing has gained her a strong following.

Teresa Juntado, Special Event Stylist/Creative Colorist

Teresa has six years of experience specializing in highlights, color, precision cuts and style, including color and cut correction for men and women. She has great talent in formulating a color specialized for her guest, making them feel like they are one of a kind. In addition, Teresa is also certified in the Keratin Smoothing System. She does fantastic updos and haircuts that are perfect every time. She has extensive bridal experience, and knows how to make the bride’s day as special as it can be. Whatever the occasion she will make you feel rejuvenated. She is committed to her continued education, and takes as many classes she can. She loves providing her guest with information on natural and non-toxic Aveda products. Educating them with what they will need for their after care. Her hope is to make all her guest look and feel great.

Matt Dunn, Front Desk Coordinator/Aveda Advisor/Makeup Artist

Matt truly believes in the Aveda mission and that "Beauty Is As Beauty Does". He recognizes the beauty in everyone both inside and out and strives to treat every guest with the utmost care and respect. His attention to detail and his caring personality will assure that from beginning to end, the time that you spend at Emerald Iguana will surely leave you feeling nothing less than spectacular.

Working as a professional musical theatre performer, and having previously worked as a Special Event Make-up Artist for Chanel, Inc., Matt's experience in the art of makeup and application ranges from subtle innocence to dramatic flare and everything in between.

Constantly improving his craft through Aveda Education and working dilligently to make sure that he knows the latest trends, he will make sure to do what it takes to allow you to simply be the most beautiful you and will do so with the sincerest of heart and attention. From start to finish, if there is anything you need, Matt will do his best to make it happen!
